The Continent of Kanu
Kanu Geography
Kanu is about the size of Alaska with islands just smaller than Wyoming. It mostly has hash mountainous terrain but has some flats and thick pine forests. The island is located above the equator so southern part of the island are usually warmer. There is one main settlement located east of the Winged Mountain Range and just below the Western plains called Katahdin. However there are small settlements located on islands and in forests on the south western side of the island. Everything from there is territory only explored by spirit trial fledglings and the Kaleo who migrate into the mountains for the summer.

Kanu Climate
In the history of Kanu, temperatures have never reached above 70 degrees Fahrenheit (the death wave). Kaleo can not withstand temperature higher than approximately 65 degrees without overheating and going brain dead. Kanu is primarily a mountainous and forested place, and there are traces of snow year round, especially in the mountains. In the southern regions, temperatures soar and volcanoes are active. In the winter time, temperatures usually stay below freezing further inland and remain in the high 40’s and low 50’s around the peninsula, beaches and outlying islands. Mountains have been found to be mainly composed of granite, and the most common tree found are biologically similar to pines and conifers, but deciduous trees can also be found closer to beaches and meadows.
