Anatomy
Common Kaleo Form -
Kaleo are quadrupedal creatures with 4 toes and dewclaws on the front and back legs. Kaleo have jagged retractable claws for grip on ice and rocks. They have dog like stature with thick fur and large wings.

Size -
Adult Kaleo can be 5'5'' to 6'10'' feet tall. Fledglings and Kits range from 1'4'' to 5'4'' on average. In your Kaleo tracker you will give the approximate height of your Kaleo.
Wing spans can span from 30'0'' to 60'0'' depending on the Kaleos height.
Body Types -
Kaleo can be large, wide, skinny, delicate, small. Its really up to you for your Kaleos body type!
Face, Teeth and Eyes -
Kaleo have a domed shaped face with cheek fluff, the have teeth similar to dogs and horses so they are able to eat meat and plants easily. Kaleo do not have fangs but can have teeth that slightly overlap the lip. They have slit noses and never have nose pads.
Kaleo do not have eyes unless they have the open eye trait or blurry vision trait. Kaleo can't open their eyelids due to the fact that they do not have the mussels to do it. Kaleo with the eye traits traits generally have a puffy look around the eye due to the added mussel.
Fur -
Kaleo have thick water proof fur, with a downy soft inside to trap heat and a thick oily outside. Kaleo have thick fur on the tail, neck, and underbelly with thinner fur on the face and legs. Your Kaleo can have any fur texture; wavy, curly, silky, coarse, wiry, etc.
Tail Mobility -
The structure beneath the tail is long, so Kaleo have very flexible tails. They are strong and can knock out a predator depending on its length. They are often used for inflight balance or used to prop them selves upright.
Senses and Natural Abilities -
Due to the Kaleo's vestigial eyes, they have developed extremely sensitive sensory receptors. They have developed an acute sense of smell (similar to that of a bear) and extremely good hearing (similar to that of a bat). Like bats, they have also developed a way to echo locate, they can make highly accurate images in their head on what is going on around them. Because Kaleo climb high into the mountains, the are able to survive with little oxygen (they can last 1 hour without oxygen). They are able to climb up to 30,000 feet in elevation.
Male VS Female -
Female Kaleo tend to have a brighter coloration but due to the diverse coloration of Kaleo there isn't much difference between male and female patterning. Females also tend to be larger than males and have small pouches on their bellies (like a Kangaroo) to carry their Kits.
